Sierra Foothills Audubon Society is pleased to present our new Family-Friendly event focusing on local backyard bird species.Want to learn about local birds?
Ever wonder about that bird tapping on your trees (or house), which birds are eating at your bird feeder, or what the large blue colored birds with the top knot are?
Our new Sierra Foothills Family-Friendly Event will focus on local backyard bird species. We'll help you to identify birds by their markings, songs, and behaviors. There will be resources, apps, and handouts to further your enjoyment. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and share your stories about birds you see and hear. You can help yourself and your family develop knowledge and a sense of wonder about wild creatures that live close by.
Please join us for this event, which is free to the public. No previous 'birding' experience is necessary. No registration is required. This event will be held on Wednesday, September 24, from 4:00-5:30 PM at the Madelyn Helling Library, Community Room in Nevada City. Hope to see you there!
