The free event will take place on Market Street between Church and Clinch Ave, behind the East Tennessee History Center.
Historic UT Football Footage
New this year! See historic footage of Vols football from black and white to orange and white! The Tennessee Archives of Moving Image and Sound (TAMIS) presents a selection of home movies depicting UT Football games from days gone by, ranging from the earliest 1928 film through to the 1960s. You won’t want to miss footage from legendary Vols rivalries like the 1948 Vandy vs UT bitter defeat or the 1929 Bama vs UT victory. Selections from these rare recordings will be playing all night long.
Get in the Game Spirit
Get in the game spirit and cheer along with Smokey's Spirit Squad at 6:30 p.m. and hear stories about UT Football from special guest UT Athletic Department Historian Bud Ford.
Live Music, Kids Activities, & Games
Enjoy live music throughout the evening from Country Alliance and stop by our kids area for hands on learning and crafts. Here you'll discover the answers to questions like why is Smokey the mascot? Why do fans where orange and white? And what are the origins of the famous fight song "Rocky Top"? Then try your hand at the tailgate classic: corn hole!
