Book a 2 hour volunteering session between 30th Nov - 2nd Dec to help North Bristol & South Glos Foodbank at the Tesco Henleaze Collection.About this Event
It has never been so critical that foodbanks are able to support those in need, and with the support of our fantastic partner Tesco, you will give your local foodbank a boost in food and awareness that will help us to continue with what we do.
Key tasks
- Volunteering your time for a 2-hour session at the Tesco collection.
- Greeting customers.
- Offering advice, shopping lists and leaflets on the best items to donate.
- Engaging with customers to raise awareness about the foodbank.
- Receiving food donations.
- Thanking customers and explaining where their donation is going.
- Sorting food ready for delivery back to the foodbank.
- Loading and unloading of the collection van.
- Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed for yourself and volunteers.
Impact of your role
- Maximising food donations to the foodbank.
- Raising awareness of the foodbank in your local community.
Please note that all volunteers must be over the age of 18.
