Food Tour Experience at Bountiful Market

Indulge in a culinary adventure as Secret Ingredient YEG collaborates with Bountiful Farmers Market to present a food tour experience, guiding you on an immersive journey through the heart of the Market, engaging in local community and culture.

Led by our tour host, this guided excursion will introduce you to four extraordinary woman-owned vendors who are sharing their cultural heritage through food. With a small group, each stop promises a unique experience where you'll not only indulge in a specially curated food item but also uncover the stories behind them.

You’ll learn about the cultural significance of each dish, and connect with the passionate entrepreneurs/artisans in an exclusive & intimate meet and greet. You'll also get the chance to delve into the fascinating origin story of Bountiful Market and snag a cash voucher valid at any of their vendors, allowing you to enjoy some shopping post-food tour.

When: Saturday May 25th 11:30 am-1:00 pm (approximate end time give or take 20 minutes)

Who will be sharing their food & culture with you:

MJ’s Korean Kitchen: Minjin will share some tasty bites with you that showcase her Korean heritage and the delicious ways she brings together classic flavours.

At Home Sweet and Savoury: Memoona will share a taste of some of her most loved items, where she brings together Pakistani and Mediterranean flavours.

Taste of Kyiv: Liudmyla will have some traditional, homemade Ukrainian foods, showcasing her culinary skills.

Taste of Ethiopia: Meb will be offering up some special Ethiopian delicacies, along with a mini Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony.

Between all of the stops, there will definitely be enough food to fill you up- come hungry and ready for an eclectic lunch full of fun and flavour!

Included in your ticket:

— 1.5 hour event where you will enjoy a hearty lunch, trying full serving sized food items from 4 Farmer's Market vendors

— An exclusive meet and greet with each owner/artisan to learn about their journey and some cultural facts & food tips

— A shopping voucher from Bountiful Market

Dietary Needs: We will have a vegetarian (eggs/dairy products will be included in this option) and non-vegetarian (meat) option at each stop. You can choose one option (choose the appropriate ticket when ordering), and these will be the menu items you will receive on the day of the event. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate gluten free dietary needs, but hope to have an option in the future 🙂

Some of the menu items may have allergens like nuts, shellfish, soy etc. If you have food allergies, please reach out before ordering tickets to see if we are able to accommodate them.
