About this Event

Join KAMA DC and District Spanish in their first ever bilingual walking food tour collaboration, featuring three Latin-owned restaurants in Mt. Pleasant/Colombia Heights to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

Gerardo, founder of District Spanish, will lead the way as we make stops at Corado's, El Rinconcito Cafe II, and Tequila & Mezcal in the staple Colombia Heights and vibrant Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods. Throughout the walking tour, our bilingual guide Gerardo will share anecdotes of Latin-American history in D.C. and each of our participating restaurants in both English and Spanish!

The tour will begin at Corado's, where we will start off with savory Guatemalan chuchitos. Afterwards, the group will walk to El Rinconcito Cafe II for a taste of various types of Salvadorian pupusas. The tour will conclude at Tequila & Mezcal with Mexican molotes and your choice of a refreshing beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available).

This event is possible thanks to a generous grant from Humanities DC.

*Note: Limited spots available!

*Note: The food sampled will include meat, dairy, eggs, gluten and may be processed in at least one facility that contains nuts. Please reach out to [email protected] for further questions on allergens.
