Influenced by "Urban Placemat: CrossRoads" (John T. Scott , 1998) and "At The Dinner Table" (Soraya Jean-Louis, 2015), participants will be guided to create their own mixed media assemblage and collage "placemats" sculptures. Their work will explore personal narratives around ideas of nourishment (cultural, familial, community), food, fellowship, memory, identity and belonging. Participants will have the opportunity to experience and discuss John T. Scott's original artwork for context. All supplies will be provided. Seats are limited and registration is required.
