Food Defence Workshop

It is critical food and drink manufacturers have systems in place to ensure the safety of their finished products is not jeopardised through malicious actions, tampering or unauthorised persons.

Join us for a fully funded, interactive workshop held at ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre. This workshop is ideal for anyone involved in preparing, implementing or reviewing food defence threat assessments, including quality assurance, technical management, production, security, and human resources team members etc.

The session will focus on the key requirements of food defence detailed in BRCGS Global Standard Food Safety Issue 9*, and will provide delegates with an understanding of:

• What is a threat assessment and food defence plan?
• Key requirements of food defence (as detailed in BRCGS Global Standard Food Safety Issue 9)
• Preparing a documented food defence plan
• Consideration of controls to mitigate risks
• Source of information
• Training requirements for staff

*Although this workshop will include BRCGS Global Standard Food Safety Issue 9 requirements, it is not limited to delegates working to this standard. The principles of this workshop can be applied to any food and drink manufacturing site.
