Inflammation is a buzz word in the media these days, and for good reason. Because it is uncomfortable, most people think of inflammation in an entirely negative light. Acute inflammation, however, is your body’s normal healing response to illness or injury. It is only when the process becomes dysregulated and progresses to chronic inflammation that negative long-term consequences ensue. In fact, most chronic diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and cancer, are associated with chronic inflammation. In this workshop we will discuss various strategies to keep chronic inflammation at bay. Our hands-on experiential approach increases the likelihood that you will be able to make some meaningful dietary shifts, as you will get to sample various therapeutic foods throughout the morning. You will go home with a handy guide full of recipes and an anti-inflammatory drink mix!
Date & Time:
