Just Dogs Covid Guidelines
All participants MUST read and agree to the following guidelines. Completion of a booking form at JustDogs.org confirms these guidelines have been read and that they will be agreed and adhered to, to the best of each persons capability:
* Clients and trainers should maintain social distance whilst arriving, leaving and during the class.
* Just Dogs training classes will utilise an outside area with adequate parking to allow clients to arrive and leave whilst remaining two metres apart.
* During the class there should be no physical contact between the trainer, assistant and client and social distance should be maintained where possible. (During the ‘Recall’ exercise a longline will be attached to the collar or harness of a clients dog if necessary and protective gloves will be worn at this time)
* Owners should touch only their own dogs.
* Just Dogs usually provide a variety of toys, extra leads and treats for use within the class. At this current time these items could be but may NOT be available and clients are urged to ensure they have a good supply of resources that they may require for their specific dog for the duration of classes. (Please note that flexi/retractable leads, check/choke chains and even slip leads are not recommended but if present MUST NOT be used in a harsh or punitive manner.)
* A dog bowl will be available with fresh water each week, however clients may prefer to bring their own. Clients MUST NOT touch the communal doggy water bowl or bottle.
* If clients require to be seated please bring your own.
* Clickers will be provided as usual and clients can be assured that these will be clean and bagged up at least 7 days prior to the start of each course.
* Participating clients do so entirely at there own risk. Every effort will be made to ensure the safety of all who attend including the availability of hand sanitiser. However masks will not be worn by the trainer or assistant and surfaces within the training area cannot be certified as covid-free. Therefore, please wash your hands thoroughly before leaving your home and on arriving back home after class.
* Owners of dogs from infected or self-isolating households pose a significantly higher risk to the training instructor and others in the class and unfortunately WILL NOT be accepted at this time (Please contact Justine directly if this applies to you).
To enrol on a Just Dogs course or for 1:1 training please contact Justine at Just Dogs in the first instance, then you will be required to please complete a booking form at JustDogs.org.
