Family Friendly Folk Night!Bring the whole family down for an early evening of live music, delicious drinks, and savory hand pies. This month's edition of Folky Folks features Just Alfredo, a Reno local! Learn more about Just Alfredo’s style below, you may have even seen him perform at our local farmer’s market!
Alfredo Cavaliere is an instrumental looping guitarist from Caracas, Venezuela. He has been playing guitar since the age of 12 and was inspired to become a musician after seeing his dad and uncle perform a cover of Ray Buchanan’s song, “Five String Blues.” This 6-minute heated conversation between piano and guitar made him realize that music is a language, able to express emotion through instruments especially in blues music. Alfredo plays acoustic and electric guitar and uses a loop pedal to add layers of different guitars, organ, and bass effects in real time, creating unique compositions inspired by blues, flamenco, classical, soul, and spaghetti western
