Join us for a Geoadventure, celebrating the rich geodiversity of our Cross-Channel Geopark. Mel Wrigley, our resident ecologist will take us on a gentle walk around the chalk downland on top of the cliffs. During the walk, you'll find and hear about the rich diversity of plants, their folklore and medicinal uses and the wealth of animals that make chalk habitats their home.
We'll also talk about how chalk was formed, millions of years ago, the land bridge and the megaflood that formed the English Channel and the cliffs we see today.
The walk does not go near the cliff edge.
Supervised children and dogs are welcome. The walk will take in some unsurfaced tracks and land.
Free, ticket-only event which includes parking. For more details and to book please follow this link: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/kent/the-white-cliffs-of-dover/events/042f3345-52e2-4845-8552-2d0996e11a11
