Why do we like scary stories? Listen to Carmel Page tell The Opal Witch, discuss how it makes you feel and respond.
About this Event

No experience needed to join this friendly group.

The Opal Witch is a frightening story and the more you think about it the scarier it is. Listen to Carmel's expert storytelling and discuss the story. Why do we like scary stories? Can a story be too scary? Are trigger warnings a good idea?

After we discuss these complex issues there will be time to write your own response, or your own story, and to share if you wish to. You will leave with ideas about how confronting our fears through stories can help us and you will have been inspired to do some writing of your own.

This is part of a monthly series; you can join and leave at any point.

Online bookings only no tickets on the door

Carmel Page is a Storyteller, Folklore Author and Artist. She is passionate about sharing stories, sharing ideas and supporting others. She has a house on the edge of Sheffield but tends to live in a world of her own.
