About this Event
Come along for our friendly and inclusive monthly folk sessions at The Red Lion, on the first Tuesday of every month from 8pm.
Each month we'll share a couple of tunes in advance so you can listen, practice and join in on the night. At the session, we'll start with those tunes and then go around the circle so that everyone has the chance to bring a tune (if you want to, no obligation!) to share with everyone.
If you want to bring a song, bring a song with a rollicking chorus so that everyone can join in! This is designed to be a session for everyone and will be mostly English folk music with a touch of Irish and Scottish tunes if the whim takes us.
If you can play four chords on the guitar, you can play along. If you are an advanced player, come along and share your craft to create a collaborative and supportive folk session environment. After all, this ancient tradition was designed for community and connection, and that's what music does best.
