Join us on Saturday the 13th of June as we welcome Kwilkyn and Nina Rebecca!
Kwilkyn bio:
Risen from the valleys of Dartmoor, Kwilkyn is the result of an adventurous mind trapped in a homebody. Joseph Crosher (the songwriter behind the pseudonym) uses Kwilkyn as a tool to introspect what he would otherwise push down. With strong themes of nostalgia, loss and romance Kwilkyn explores his sense of place and self. Kwilkyn navigates the juxtaposition of feeling comfortable yet trapped and wraps it up in a package full of indie-folk with fragments of grunge tossed in.
Nina bio:
Nina Rebecca is a folk musician from Somerset. Her music is reflective of a mixture of the rural landscapes she grew up in, Sephardic melodies from her time living in southern Spain, and her folk inspirations (Nick Drake, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell). She uses intricate finger picking and alternative tunings to create gentle and haunting melodies that relish in dissonance. She likes to describe her music as 'lullabies for adults'.
Start time is 7:15pm and entry is free!
