Our "Common Folk" series resumes in 2025 with Steve and Kristi Nebel performing in The Green Room on Thursday, January 23.An original Americana duo from Tacoma, Steve and Kristi each provide vocal leads and harmonies on a wide array of themed songs and stories. The duo has globe-trotted for the better parts of their lifetimes, while gluing together a blend of songs that exceeds the sum of their two parts.
Steve draws his song-writing inspiration from the arid agricultural regions of California to reminiscences of a DJ in the United Kingdom; a night drinking with a friend; what the Vietnam war has left some of us; and what is to come as the lights of life flicker. Together, they raise their voices against injustice from time to time, with words that don’t shy from knife-edge observations about the environmental changes surrounding all of us.
Doors will open at 6:30 PM with a food and beverage menu available, the music will begin at 7. Tickets are $10 each, available on our website and at the door.
