This workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn the art of punch needle rug hooking, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your existing technique. You can start with little experience and finish with a handcrafted rug ready to hang or display. Additionally, you'll gain the knowledge needed to create larger rugs in the future.You will create a vibrant Folk Art Farm Animal rug during class, choosing from designs featuring a sheep, donkey, cow, or rooster, using the Oxford Punch Needle #10 (regular point).
The workshop will cover all aspects of punch needle rug hooking, including different types of punch needles, necessary equipment, proper punching techniques, and a wealth of inspiration to help you along the way.
Fee $450.00 per student.
The fee includes a Long Skinny kit of your choice, an Oxford Punch Needle, the use of a frame, and comprehensive instruction.
Kit consists of a design on Rug Warp, all the yarn, wool strips, a metal hanger, any necessary items to finish the project, and 1 Oxford Punch Needle #10 regular point.
Punch Needle frames will be provided for use and may be purchased at the end of class.
Reservations Required. Tickets at pgstudioartscenter.com/events. $150 Deposit required. Remaining balance due by day of event. Can make payment installments leading up to event.
