Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park is proud to host the 5th Annual Electricity Fair on Saturday, September 10. The public is invited to attend this interactive family celebration that will host a variety of exhibits and demonstrations intended to highlight one of the world’s oldest hydroelectric facilities.The Electricity Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event activities include:
Interactive electromagnetism projects and experiments by “Mr. Electricity”
Wacky hat parade
Scavenger hunt
Face painting
Interactive science projects such as building an energy circuit, solar art and many more
A variety of electric vehicles will be on display
The public is also invited to explore the many exhibits and interactive displays inside the visitor center and enjoy docent-guided tours of the Historic Main Powerhouse, Lower Powerhouse, and water canal system.
Admission to the park and the event are free. Limited parking is available. Additional parking is available in the City of Folsom lots on Scott Street.
