A gentle, steady walk for those craving community. It’s never far or hard, this is about creating connection, rather than counting steps.
Everybody’s welcome. Come with family, friends, or solo. Well-behaved dogs on lead are okay. Tea, coffee and a small snack (GF, V) are provided at the start, but please bring your own mug.
Wear comfortable shoes or boots. We'll stick to footpaths, but the ground may be muddy and uneven. Wear weather-appropriate clothing. And don't forget a water bottle.

Where are we wandering?
A short loop, less than 5km, around Linacre Reservoirs (Chesterfield).
Where are we meeting?
Meet in the top car park at Linacre from 9.30 am. The walking party will head off at 10 am.

Do I have to book?
Yes. We ask everyone planning to join the ramble to book a spot. We don't want to run out of cake or coffee 😱
Who is hosting the walk?
Folc co-founders Bronwyn & Kevin will be hosting the walk and serving tea & coffee beforehand.
Will there be toilets?
Yes. There are free public toilets near the start and end points.
What if the weather is awful?
We will keep an eye on the weather, and if it's really bad, the walk will be postponed. We will confirm on email the day before.
Where does my donation go?
All donations go directly towards making our walks possible – from the tea, coffee and nibbles on the day, to supporting Folc's impact grow through new projects, new locations, and reaching wider communities.
