Welcome to the 10th edition of FOKUS: Films from Germany!
From 22 January to 22 February 2026, we present “Women: Words and Worlds” – a diverse selection of German films exploring a wide range of themes and genres. Screenings will take place on different dates and at various locations across Scotland, with all films shown in their original language and English subtitles.
To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are thrilled to collaborate with guest curator Rastko Novaković, who brings a unique and thoughtful perspective to German cinema with his programme “Women: Words and Worlds” – a journey through decades of cinematic storytelling.
In addition, the festival also offers a film selection for younger audiences and school screenings. The full list of screening dates and venues will be published on Eventbrite after 15 December.
