About this Event
Friends of Downtown San Diego is a fully volunteer run, 501c(3). We enhance San Diego’s downtown community through scholarships, community service and education. We would love to have you join our educational luncheon!
The USS Midway Museum and Port of San Diego made a commitment in 2004 that one day they would develop a park on Navy Pier. After many years of negotiations and planning, the Coastal Commission’s approval in February 2023 paved the way to begin building the park, YOUR park – Freedom Park at Navy Pier.
San Diego’s newest bayfront park will be at the footsteps of the USS Midway. This park will honor our veterans, celebrate our freedoms, and provide moments of engagement for all who visit.
