Focus on Africa will take place Wednesday, October 8th 12 pm-1 pm in Memorial Union room N-52 in the International Center. Focus on Africa is hosted by MU Africa Hub once a month during the semester. The mission of the Africa Hub is to promote the study and understanding of Africa. The purpose of the program is to encourage MU Africanist scholars to meet each other, stimulate each other’s thinking, and potentially lead to the creation of broader research networks and or joint scholarship. The program is free and open to the public. Join us, come relax and learn!
Our speaker on Wednesday, October 8th will be Dr. Jimi Cook, He is co-founder of Be the Change Volunteers. He has a goal to build 100 schools around the world. Dr. Cook is Director of the Mizzou Joint & Limb Preservation Center and Director of the Thompson Laboratory for Regenerative Orthopaedics, University Hospital Othopaedic Institute.
