About this Event
Please note: this free event is neither organized nor endorsed by Cox Farms.
More than 4,500 years ago, ancient people erected Stonehenge, a sacred space constructed of massive stones that still align with the sun on the Summer Solstice.
So, as the summer solstice is here, let's check out the wacky Virginia attraction "Foamhenge" at Cox Farms and their Smokin' Saturday festival. There will be live music, yard games, barbecue and goats! It's a great activity for kids, too. The site opens at 11 am. Meet up at the picnic tables in front of the stage at 12 noon if you wish to chat or pick up a Solstice handout, otherwise, explore the grounds on your own. I recommend you wear sunglasses and sunscreen and maybe a hat. Hay wagon rides begin at 1 pm to and from Foamhenge. The site has lots of information about the installation.
Parking is free. Admission to the event at Cox Farms is free. Cost of food and drinks is on your own. This is a family event, so please be considerate of others. Have fun!
