FNPS Meeting: Fire and Rare Plants in Central Florida

Meeting will be held at the Nature Center inside Bonnet Springs Park. Join us for our November Florida Native Plant Society meeting with guest speaker Dr. Sterling Herron, a research assistant V at Archbold Biological Station. He will be sharing about fire ecology and conservation of the rarest endemic plant species on the Lake Wales Ridge. Arrive at 6 PM for light snacks and socializing with the presentation beginning promptly at 6:30. The nature Center at Bonnet Springs is located in the middle of the park behind the treehouse and creek area. The closest parking is the Ruthven family playground parking lot or the event center parking lot with an about five minute walk to the nature center.

This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is recommended but not required.
