Hello, and welcome to Flynn's Hobby Shop's Mega Evolution: Phantasmal Flames prerelease! This causal, beginner-friendly tournament allows players to get an early preview of the upcoming new set, Mega Evolution: Phantasmal Flames, and is ideal for players who are collectors and/or beginners of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Our prerelease tournament is limited to 11 players and spots will be given on a first come, first serve basis.

Entry Fee:
$30. This comes with 1 Build & Battle Box, consisting of a 40-card ready-to-play deck, 1 of 4 special stamped promo cards, and 4 booster packs from Mega Evolution: Phantasmal Flames, to use in the tournament. At the end of the prerelease tournament, each player will receive 3 additional Mega Evolution: Phantasmal Flames booster packs.
Registration:
Tuesday, November 4th from 6:30 PM to 7 PM.
How It Works:
Each player will be given a Build & Battle Kit to make a 40-card deck to use in the tournament. This kit will be given by the tournament staff close to deck building time, not during registration. After hearing the tournament organizer's instructions, players will have 30 minutes to construct a deck to use in the prerelease tournament. Players CANNOT (1) trade with other players or (2) use any cards outside of their Build & Battle Box, with the exception of basic energy. Basic energy will be provided by the Tournament Organizer for player's use. This tournament will have three 20 minute + 1 turn rounds. At the conclusion of the tournament, each player will receive their 3 additional booster packs of Mega Evolution: Phantasmal Flames.
What should I bring?
1. (REQUIRED) A set of at least 6 dice. At this time, we do not carry dice sets at Flynn's Hobby Shop, so please ensure you have your own set before you come.
2. (REQUIRED) A flipping coin. If you are using a die for flipping, make sure that it is 6 sided, translucent, and slightly larger than the damage counter dice.
3. (REQUIRED) Status Markers for Burn and Poison.
4. (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) Sleeves. These are not required for the tournament, but my staff and I highly recommend that you use them to protect your new cards! The shop also has sleeves available for purchase, should you need them.
5. (REQUIRED) A positive and sportsman-like attitude!
**IMPORTANT RULES AND INFORMATION**
(1) Staff can't and won't hold spots for you in the prerelease tournament. All spots will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
(2) Friends cannot hold spots for you in the prerelease tournament.
(3) Additional Build & Battle kits will NOT be available for purchase on prerelease night, as these Build & Battle kits cannot be sold during the prerelease window. Should there be any leftover material, and the Pokémon League qualifies for the Early Release Program, they "may freely sell products related to the Prerelease set starting on the Monday before the set’s street date" (https://support.pokemon.com/hc/en-us/articles/40087808295572-Early-Release-Program).
(4) Scooping your rounds during the tournament to get the 3 additional booster packs is not permitted and will result in the forfeiture of your additional packs.
