Flying on Instruments Jazz Ensemble is performing at the Downtown Huntsville Public Library as part of Make Music Day 2024 on Friday, June 21 from 4:00-4:45 PM. We will be performing in the First Floor Auditorium. We will be playing a variety of jazz styles including swing music, so come on out dancers! •
Flying on Instruments is a Huntsville-based jazz band. We play a variety of jazz styles that include standards, Latin, be-bop, and even jazz versions of pop tunes. Our arrangements cover a wide range from Glenn Miller swing to Sinatra ballads, Brazilian bossa nova, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Cuban mambo. Flying on Instruments has performed at a variety of local venues and events around Huntsville such as the Madison Street Festival, The Electric Belle at Stovehouse, Bridge Street Town Centre, Huntsville Swing Dance Society's Monthly Swing Dance, Greene Street Market, the Alabama Women in Jazz Festival, and Vintage Karma Wine Studio. We are available to play as an ensemble or a smaller combo as the venue permits.
