The Fly Fishing Fundamentals Series is a two-part beginner-friendly series designed to help new anglers understand essential gear, core techniques, and the confidence needed to step onto the water with ease.
This second session continues building on the fundamentals introduced in Class 1, helping you turn knowledge into practical skill. We’ll dive deeper into reading water, choosing the right flies for conditions, making effective fly presentations, and understanding the basic entomology that influences trout behavior in North Carolina streams. Light refreshments and printed study materials are provided for all registered participants.
Perfect for the beginner fly angler or those looking to refresh their knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts.
Class 1 is not mandatory to register for Class 2, although some understanding of basic fly fishing concepts is helpful!
