Ready to jump in the river and level up your fly fishing skills?! This is the perfect beginner/intermediate class for folks who know how to thread their rod, tie a clinch knot, have waders (if wet wading isn’t your thing), and are ready to focus on river techniques! If you do not know your knots yet, please attend our Fly Fishing 101 workshop or if you are not super confident in your tying skills you can come 15 minutes early to get some assurance from your guide. We want to meet you at your skill level and build your skills so you can more confidently explore the waters of the West and hook up with fish and other fishy ladies without us!
Meet Your Guide: Tori
Tori is so excited to continue to bring more fly fishing events to Central Wyoming! She is ABSOLUTELY passionate about breaking down the barriers in fly fishing to make fishing more approachable for all. Tori has successfully fished the blue ribbon streams of the North Platte River for years, so pick her brain on picky trout! She will openly tell you all of her secrets to connecting with fish.
Itinerary:
Meet & Greet - We want you to walk away with a new friend to fish with!
Refresh! Quickly refresh your knowledge of proper rod, reel, and rig setup.

River Etiquette
Ethics of fish handling - How to play, land, and safely release fish.
Expectations: If you are looking to level up your fly fishing skills this is the place for you! Your guide will make sure your day is fun and exciting but we want to ensure we set realistic expectations for your time on the water. Don’t expect to catch a limit of fish if you’re not an expert with a rod and reel, a disclosure every fishing guide should give! Fly fishing is a dynamic and rewarding pursuit, but it’s important to remember that success can vary depending on a multitude of factors, including weather conditions, water levels, and the behavior of fish. While your guide will do everything they can to put you in the best position for success it’s essential to understand that catching fish is not guaranteed. Your guide is committed to ensuring that your time together is both enriching and enjoyable. The joy of fly fishing lies not only in the thrill of catching fish but also in the beauty of the surroundings and the camaraderie shared on the water.
