This is a two-day workshop.This free workshop is open to fly anglers interested in teaching fly-fishing skills in their communities and mentoring new anglers, including organizations such as Scouting, Wounded Warrior Project, Fly-fishing Clubs, and other outdoor organizations. NC Wildlife Resources Commission staff will take you step-by-step through basic and intermediate fly-casting and instructional techniques using the Joan Wulff method of instruction. Learn how to instruct the roll cast, basic cast, false casting, changing planes, shooting line, and hands-on teaching techniques.
What you need to know:
Participants must be at least 18 years old to register.
All equipment will be provided for this program.
Wear: close-toed shoes, a hat with a visor, and eye protection (safety glasses, prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses)
