QSMA presents a delightful evening of A-class Indian classical music and dance featuring Flute Sisters - Debopriya and Suchismita, supported by Kathak dancer Tanushree Rathi.Flute Sisters (Debopriya and Suchismita) are the world's most unique pair of flautist sisters for whom flute is life. Under the guidance of the Late Pandit Bholanath Prasanna they received their initial training in flute and further have had the privilege to be trained by the living god of flute, the last word in Indian classical North Indian flute, the magician, Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.
They will be joined in Brisbane by leading Australian tabla accompanist Shen Flindell.
For the opening act of this premium concert, QSMA are proud to present the winner of our inaugural 2025 Scholarship, Kathak dancer Tanushree Rathi, with live musical accompaniment by some of Brisbane's best Indian classical artists.
