Lifeline North Coast is partnering with OneWave, a non-profit surf community raising awareness of mental health with a simple recipe...saltwater therapy, surfing and fluro. COME JOIN US! On Friday, 22 March, at 6.30am, Jetty Beach in Coffs Harbour we will join the World Fluro Wave for mental health to celebrate OneWave's 11th Birthday & host our first ever Fluro Friday at the Jetty. 🌅🌊🏄🤸
From New Zealand to Norway, communities will dress in their brightest fluro with a simple message - to let anyone facing mental health challenges know they are not alone. 👫
🥳 We can't wait to celebrate OneWave's 11th birthday and the start of our weekly Fluro Friday sessions with you this Friday!!
👇 Here’s what to expect and how you can get involved: 👇
⏰ 6.30am - ARRIVE DRESSED IN YOUR BRIGHTEST FLURO
🪅Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, there’s not such
thing as too little or too much!
🪅We will have extra zinc and bright things to share.
🪅We’ll meet at the beach access near the Yacht Club – listen
out for the music and look for the colourful people.
🪅You will be warmly welcomed
⏰ 6.45am – WE’LL MAKE A BIG ANTI-BAD VIBES CIRCLE
⭕We’ll talk about who Lifeline and OneWave are and why
we're so passionate about creating a fluro wave for mental
health.
⭕We’ll go over what to do if someone shares their story
and they or someone they know needs support.
⏰ 7am - CREATE A FLURO WAVE!
🌊We’ll spread out along the beach, link hands and make our
wave!
🌊Think Mexican wave, lots of waving #seewhatwedidthere
and cheering as we get lots of photos, videos and some
drone footage.
⏰ 7.15am – GET WET OR GET ACTIVE!
🏄Jump in the water and go surfing or swimming OR
🏄Join in with some gentle stretching, yoga and dancing OR
🏄Walk and talk along the beach, connecting with each other
and maybe even doing a beach clean as you go.
🏄Whatever takes your fancy! Stay for as little or as long as you
want.
⏰ 8am - IT’S A WRAP!
☕Grab a coffee, or some breakfast and keep the conversation
going if you’ve got time before you head off for the rest of
your day.

HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN FLURO WAVE: 🌈🌊
🙋 If you can’t make it to the Jetty at 6:30am, you can show your support for mental health by creating a fluro wave on the beach near you at a time that works for you.
🙋 You could also make your own fluro wave in the surf, at school, or in a park, all it takes is two people dressed in fluro to create a fluro wave.
🙋You can take a fluro selfie.
🙋Every single fluro wave will help paint the world fluro for mental health:
