THE JAILER'S INN:

The Old Nelson County J*il housed prisoners from 1797 till 1987. The front building, sometimes referred to as the “Old J*il” was constructed in 1819. Records indicated that John Rogers, architect of St. Joseph Cathedral, performed certain carpentry on this structure. The upper floor of this native limestone building, with 30 inch thick walls, contained two cells and an “upstairs dungeon” to house prisoners. The back J*il was built in 1874 and is completely surrounded by a stone wall. The front J*il was then made into the jailer’s residence. Both the J*il and jailer’s residence were used and occupied until 1987. It was the oldest operating J*il complex in the state of Kentucky and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The building was turned into a bed and breakfast in 1989 and since then, sinister things have been said to roam the bed and breakfast's halls! According to the legends, some of the J*il’s former employees and incarcerated souls still reside inside. Visitors have reported hearing eerie footsteps and muted whispers while staying at the inn.

HAUNTED DISCOVERIES:

Brandon Alvis:

Brandon Alvis is an American paranormal investigator, filmmaker, musician, author, and television personality. He is the producer, director, and lead investigator for the television show Haunted Discoveries, which began airing on Canada's T+E network in 2023. At an early age, he was always fascinated with the paranormal. His interest in the paranormal changed dramatically in 1995, when tragedy hit his family and again in 2004. He read everything he could about the paranormal. He wanted to make sure he had proper understanding and knowledge of the subject prior to stepping out and conducting field research on his own. As his interest in the paranormal grew, he formed the American Paranormal Research Association (APRA). As a group, they have investigated over 200 haunted locations. Alvis was quoted as saying, Bringing our research to Kentucky, a place that many consider to be the most haunted state in America, has been a paranormal investigator's dream!"

MUSTAFA GATOLLARI:

Mustafa is an actor, a journalist, a paranormal historian, an author, and paranormal investigator. He is also the co-producer, and co-lead investigator for Haunted Discoveries. At a young age, his family fell into hard times, which was blamed on a spirit energy inhabitating his familiy's home. He is always skeptical when it comes to the paranormal. He always tries to find reasonable explanations before calling it paranormal. But, the more he investigates, the more fascinated he becomes. He co-wrote ELEMENTS OF A HAUNTING: CONNECTING HISTORY WITH SCIENCE TO UNCOVER THE GREATEST STORIES EVER TOLD with his friend and HAUNTED DISCOVERIES co-investigator Brandon Alvis.

KEVIN OTTE
Prior to becoming a producer and paranormal investigator on Haunted Discoveries, Kevin came from a background as deputy sherriff in Missouri. In 2007, he teamed up with a local Private Investigator and joined his paranormal team beginning jis journey in the paranormal field. In 2009, he moved to California where he met Brandon Alvis and soon after, became an honors graduate from the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood and kicked off his new career in film production. Kevin continued investigating while adding numerous production credits to his resume. In 2018, he moved to Kentucky and continued his production career. Kevin still uses his investigative techniques from law enforcement in the paranormal field to see if the evidence and data collected supports a logical explanation, or puts it in the world of the unexplained.

CRAIG OWENS:

Craig found a passion for history and the paranormal since 1972 when he was a young boy while playing on the grounds of Southern plantation known as Waverly. He is a writer's production assistant in the film and television industry. His production credits include WAG THE DOG (1997), PHONE BOOTH (2000), and GILMORE GIRLS (2000-2001). In 2002, he left film production to work for the CENTURY CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and later the INTERNATIONAL CINEMATOGRAPHERS GUILD, I.A.T.S.E. LOCAL 600. In 2009, he began staging vintage-style photo shoots at haunted locations as an idea for an old Hollywood themed project. While on location, he saw what appeared to be a "ghost". Because of this experience, he researched and wrote the book HAUNTED BY HISTORY VOL. 1: SEPARATING THE FACTS AND LEGENDS OF EIGHT HISTORIC HOTELS AND INNS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! Thanks to the book's success, he has been on numerous podcast shows, as well as AOL NEWS. He has also been featured on television shows MY GHOST STORIES: CAUGHT ON FILM, A&E'S PSYCHIC KIDS, and MYSTERIES DECODED. In 2023, he joined Brandon Alvis and Mustafa Gatollari on HAUNTED DISCOVERIES television show HAUNTED DISCOVERIES: FAMILY SPIRITS.
