About this Event
Join us at h2hotel for a hands-on workshop exploring the beauty of natural dyeing with Lisa Rogers, owner of SlowDigz. This two-hour session will guide you through the process of flower printing on silk, using dried and pressed dye flowers to create a one-of-a-kind neckerchief or bandana.
While your piece steams to set the colors, enjoy a selection of wine and light refreshments, along with a mini demonstration of Tataki Zome—an artful technique of hammering fresh botanicals onto fabric. Lisa will also share insights on fabric preparation, including mordanting and scouring, for those interested in diving deeper into natural dyeing.
Included in the Workshop Fee:
- All materials to create your own flower-printed silk piece
- Step-by-step instruction from Lisa Rogers
- A selection of wine and light refreshments
