He Puāwai: A Natural History of New Zealand Flowers by botanist Phil Garnock-Jones is beautiful - featuring 100 native flowers photographed in 3D and viewed with special glasses revealing their magical glory.
Phil introduces some of our most remarkable native treasures in awe-inspiring detail and for extra fun he will take flowers from Shakespeare’s Hamlet as inspiration, comparing their stories to our puaawai.

Phil Garnock-Jones
Emeritus Professor Phil Garnock-Jones is a retired botanist and former professor of botany at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington. He is an internationally renowned expert on plant diversity and the author of over 100 scientific articles for local and international journals.
