CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Trying to find that flow state? Try alcohol ink! This provides an introduction to painting with alcohol ink, focusing on joyful experimentation. We will go over some basic techniques for manipulating the ink (e.g. straw blowing, droppers, brushes) to create beautiful, colorful pieces. Supplies will be included (alcohol ink, isopropyl alcohol, yupo paper).
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Hi, I'm Stephanie! I've been painting with alcohol ink for 5 years. I decided to experiment to make a small piece for my mom's birthday and feel head over heels for the medium.
I'm a jack of odd trades, among my many jobs I've been: a nanny, an opera house stage hand, an automotive company analyst, a freelance photographer, a barista, and an axe throwing instructor. One time, I even worked for NASA (as a temp for two days taking notes at a conference). Plus, I can count to 100 in Finnish.
