About this Event
Welcome!
My name is Lee McCormack, and I like bikes. I've dedicated the past 20 years to teaching people how to ride beter, safer and faster. I've more than 11,000 riders of all levels including pros, but I prefer to work with regular folks who see MTB as part of a healthy life. When you take a class with me I guarantee you'll learn a lot, have a ton of fun, and become a much better rider.
Here's what Gemini says about working with me.

I'm stoked to teach Nov. 22 and 23 at Auburn Bike Park in Auburn, CA. I first rode this area in 1993 on a rigid hardtail. So much has changed!
I look forward to riding with you.

What to expect
Overall: I'm here to help you enjoy your mountain biking more than ever. We'll use the bike park terrain to learn the skills that work on all sorts of trails. If you want to hit the black trails, great. If you prefer the greens, that's cool too. These days I'm into the blues. I'm very good at meeting you where you are.
10 a.m. to lunchtime: I'll teach you how to pump terrain using the pump track. This is the core skill for all run riding. Turns become sideways holes and jumps become topless rollers. In the morning you get Analytical Lee. I'll give you the science, answer your nerdy questions and make sure you know the hows and whys of great riding.
Lunchtime: We'll hang out and talk bikes. BYOL.
Lunchtime to 5 p.m.: I switch to Guru Lee. Now it's all about using your new pumping skills in fun ways. We'll explore whatever you want and are ready for: swooping through corners, flowing through the bumps and mayne catching some air.
What you need
- You don't need to be a fit, experienced or confident rider. You do need an open mind and a sense of play.
- You need to be over 18 years old. Kids are welcome as long as a parent or guradian is in class with them.
- A bike in good working order, plus your normal riding gear.
- Enough food and fluid to stay sharp all day.
Support your local trails
10% of your fee goes to the Auburn Trails Alliance.
If the bike park is closed due to conditions, I'll move class to another venue in the area. If the weather prohibits class, I'll reschedule.

Here's a sense of my teaching style. The beard and shoulders have been replaced.
I'm so far into MTB I don't need a drivetrain anymore. So fun!
