About this Event
For Movement enthusiasts, this is a space to share and expand your knowledge of movement and Flow Arts.
Designed for everyone — whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, there is something for you here. Don’t have your own props? No worries! We’ll provide everything you need to dive into this experience.
The first part of this intensive will focus on learning and mastering the fundamentals of the staff, developing a common language that’s recognized globally and incredibly useful for your personal growth later on.
We’ll also dive into creating routines through smooth transitions between movements, shifting the focus from isolated tricks to fluid phrases.
Once we’ve built that foundation, we’ll move on to the heart and soul of the workshop: The body behind the object .
By integrating elements of dance, acrobatics, and performance, we’ll go beyond conventional technique, unlocking new possibilities for movement. This process will help you explore how — and in how many ways — your body can interact with the object, creating a deeper, more natural connection. You’ll develop a new movement vocabulary and discover your own unique style and creativity through experimentation.
This journey will not only enrich your practice but also help you inhabit the flow state, turning the experience into something immersive and profound. Through mindful attention, you’ll enjoy the dance and the movement, feeling how the body transcends the object.
This workshop is an invitation to connect with your body through dance and play. Together, we’ll explore how the connection between body and object can take you further than either could alone. We can’t wait to share this adventure of movement and creativity with you
Instructor:
Miguel Bordons Carriazo is a multidisciplinary artist whose journey has led him to fuse circus, dance, theater, and acrobatics in a constant search for new forms of expression through movement. His path began ten years ago , juggling and exploring the infinite possibilities of the body and object in a self-taught way until fire and street art captivated him in Italy. There, he threw himself into performing in streets, squares, and festivals, honing his craft both solo and in collaboration with other artists.
Since then, his passion has taken him across France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Switzerland, and Thailand, performing in cabarets, self-managed spaces, and grand stages. Along the way, he trained for two years at the Salto International Circus School in Portugal and later for two more at the Rogelio Rivel Circus and Arts School in Barcelona, where he deepened his understanding of contemporary approaches to art and acrobatics, expanding his scenic language and enriching his creative vision.
Now in Singapore, Miguel brings his experience to those eager to expand their artistic boundaries, focusing on creating a personal language through movement, object, and space.
