Floriography Series III- Workshop #1 with Talo Kawasaki
Mark your calendars – our third series of Floriography workshops are here!
This fall, we welcome visual artist and origami expert Talo Kawasaki (@talo.kawasaki) to share his knowlegde of origami.
Talo Kawasaki is a Brooklyn-based artist and educator whose passion for origami has blossomed from a pastime to a serious discipline for about 15 years. This has involved teaching in schools, museums, and conferences; creating his own origami as published models; and producing art with his paper folding: often as a designer for the American Museum of Natural History's Origami Holiday Tree; as a "wrangler" for props for regional productions of "Animals Out of Paper,"; and a solo exhibition of painted origami in 2018
Beginner-friendly and open to all, you’ll leave this workshop with a one-of-a-kind piece and a greater understanding of the art of origami.
This workshop will take place in three installments – October 26, November 23 and December 14.
Tickets are now available for the second session. We will be working on folding paper into a lotus flower. We look forward to seeing you!
Note, all necessary supplies are included in the ticket price. Light refreshments will also be provided.
