About this Event

Join us to learn about invasive flora and fauna in Florida! In this class, we'll define key terms like native, non-native, and invasive species. You'll discover how these invasive species affect local plant and animal communities and learn to recognize common invasive species in the county and state. We'll also discuss effective strategies to prevent their spread and protect Florida's natural ecosystems. This class will be led by Clarissa Chairez, Master Gardener Volunteer Coordinator with UF/IFAS Extension Orange County. Clarissa is a horticulturalist and educator with a passion for sharing her knowledge and love of plants with others.
