Florida Scrub Nature Walk : Exploring an Ancient Ecosystem

Join us for an exciting adventure as we delve into the fascinating world of the Florida scrub ecosystem! The Florida scrub is a rare and fragile habitat, home to a diverse range of plant and animal species. During the hike, you will have the opportunity to witness the beauty of this ecosystem firsthand, guided by our knowledgeable experts.

As we trek through the scrub, you'll learn about the unique adaptations of the flora and fauna that call this place home, and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of preserving this delicate environment. Don't miss out on this chance to explore one of nature's hidden gems!

FREE program, but reservations are required

This program will begin at 8:30am and last until approximately 10:00am

The length of this nature walk is about 3/4-1 mile, primarily on sand and there are parts that have a steep slope (up and down)

Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear

Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray

Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult

No pets

All participants will be required to sign electronic waivers that will be sent prior to the program
