Saturday, September 28th, we have a volunteer training opportunity for anyone interested in participating in a citizen science study of Florida's nesting horseshoe crabs. Volunteers who participate in the training have the opportunity to count and tag horseshoe crabs in northern Key Largo and contribute to the statewide study! The training will be held in the auditorium of the Visitor Center and Aquarium at noon, September 28th. Expect the training to last a few hours. If interested, please contact Park Biologist Trudy Wilson at [email protected], so we know how many supplies are needed for the hands-on portion of the training.
