About this Event
Floramay Holliday has released her 6th album on Roseneath Records, Song to Myself (2024), with members of Edie Brickell and New Bohemians. The Texas by way of South Carolina artist cut her teeth in Austin back in 1998 when she was introduced by Clifford Antone to producer Riley Osborn, hiring some of Jerry Jeff Walker’s band to play on her first album. She went on to record with Ray Benson, Guy Clark, Bobbie Nelson, and others, establishing her career as a singer/songwriter and producer. On Nov 2, 2000, Mayor Kirk Watson proclaimed “Floramay Holliday Day”, and later that same year, her first album was recommended for nomination in the 42nd Grammy Awards. Holliday also plays with several bands, including the all-female country-rock band, Sis Deville, with Austin legends Shelley King, Carolyn Wonderland, Sarah Brown and Lisa Pankratz.
