Using contemplative creative techniques, Ruth Egon will show you how to paint flowers and fauna in a relaxing and intuitive way. This workshop is for anyone interested in creativity. You don't need to be experienced to enjoy painting, using the benefits of creativity from nature in a relaxing and supportive environment.
Ruth will take you through building your confidence, getting inspired and learning the skills of drawing and painting over a one and a half hour workshop, painting fresh flowers in a relaxing gallery setting. Using colourful inks and pens you will create a floral artwork on beautiful handmade paper.

Surrounded by centuries-old architecture and vibrant local culture, this workshop invites you to slow down, explore, and truly take in the charm of the area. Inside the gallery, you’ll be immersed in inspiring artworks, a welcoming atmosphere, and the joy of creating amongst fellow art lovers. It’s not just a workshop—it's a moment of connection, creativity, and appreciation for Brighton’s artistic soul.
This workshop is ideal for beginners that haven't been creative for a while but want something different to do in Brighton. We make it a fun and friendly experience, focusing on your joyful experience, it's not too technical!
Ruth is an experienced workshop host and artist who creates colourful and uplifting botanical art.
Join her to learn key drawing and observation techniques, and come away with your own beautiful and authentic floral drawing finished with colourful inks.

At Liberation Art Gallery CIC, we aim to create an inclusive and relaxing environment for all our workshop participants. Feel free to bring your own refreshments and we are BYOB friendly to enjoy during your session, making your experience even more comfortable and sociable. Our gallery also provides toilet and handwashing facilities, ensuring convenience and ease throughout your visit. With all workshop materials and tools provided, this setup allows you to fully enjoy your creative experience without worrying about additional costs, so you can focus entirely on making art and having fun.
Liberation Art Gallery CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to making creativity accessible for everyone. Nestled in the heart of Brighton, our gallery and creative workshop and art therapy space reinvests all profits directly back into our community programmes, ensuring quality exhibition space for artists and individuals, families, and young people, especially those facing barriers to education, mental health support, or inclusion can access high-quality creative and therapeutic experiences. By joining our workshops and events, you’re not only nurturing your own creativity, but actively helping us deliver free and low-cost art therapy, outreach projects, and wellbeing initiatives to those who need it most.

Cancellation Policy:
We understand.that plans can change, and we do our best to be fair whilst protecting the sustainability of our workshops.
Cancellations or date changes must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled.workshops
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop or non attendance on the day are non-refundable
As a good-will gesture, we are happy to to offer a transfer to a future workshop of equal value subject to availability when at least 48 hours notice is given
Workshop credits must be used within 3 months of the original workshop date and cannot be exchanged for cash
We are unable to offer refunds or workshop transfers for same-day cancellations. As materials, artist fees and staffing are already commited.
In rare and exceptional circumstances please contact us directly. Any discretion offered is at Liberation Art gallery's discretion.
