About this Event
Founded through a passion for flowers and eco-conscious growing, Betty Blooming creates floral displays and arrangements using only organic seasonal blooms. Now, you’ll have the chance to create your own hand-tied bouquet in this relaxed workshop at Helm.
To coincide with Graphic Rewilding’s never before seen floral installation; IRIS UPON IRIS UPON IRIS, we’re celebrating all things botanic and with Betty Blooming based just round the corner in Portslade, a collaboration seemed only natural.
During the hour-long workshop you’ll be provided with a variety of locally grown flowers to arrange and while you’re guided through the process of creating hand-tied bouquets. With hands-on instruction, a beautiful setting, and bouquets to take home with you - this session is not one to be missed.
As a gallery, part of our mission is to champion a wide range of art forms, giving space to creatives, performers and artists working across the creative industries. This workshop will provide access into the world of floral artistry as well as learning around sustainability, a welcome addition to Helm.
This workshop will be held in the ground floor gallery space which has an accessible entrance at street level. During the evening, you can make use of our bar and gender neutral wheelchair-accessible bathroom on the same level. There will also be time to explore the exhibition IRIS UPON IRIS UPON IRIS in the exhibition hall on the lower-ground floor.
