Woodlands, wetlands, and rocky outcrops, Deer Mountain has it all. We will skirt a large rich swamp as we walk through dry rich woodlands and explore shale and limestone outcrops and see the difference in the plant communities between them. The trail can be mucky and there are ticks present, so boots and long clothing are recommended.
