Floor Barre combines ballet technique with Pilates elements and is done sitting or laying down on the floor. It is low-impact and emphasizes alignment, core strength, and body awareness. Floor Barre will begin with a low-impact warmup before transitioning to the floor. Students will learn the exercises before trying them, no prior experience necessary. Exercises will include fundamental dance steps as well as core specific work, and will conclude with stretching and intentional breathing. Class is for teens and adults, no prior dance experience required.
Suggested Attire:
Comfortable clothing in which you can easily move.
Bare feet or socks, depending on comfort level.
