How often do you think about your pelvic floor?
Possibly not very often, unless you have problems with it.

This class will introduce an innovative approach to pelvic floor health developed by Deborah Bowes, Feldenkrais Practioner, physiotherapist and pelvic floor expert.

Whatever your gender, your pelvic floor is important - it's there to keep things in and also let them out!

The complex musculature of the pelvic floor works in coordination with the muscles which support the hips and lower back. Even if you don't have any symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction, balanced pelvic floor muscle tone goes along with improving posture and movement habits.
A healthy and properly toned pelvic floor can reduce back and pelvic pain as well as impacting digestion, balance, sexual function and breathing.
You'll learn to use breathing, imagery, and easy movements of the whole body to awaken and coordinate the functional use of the pelvic floor.
The approach is based in the Feldenkrais Method but also includes some hypopressives, which is a low impact technique using breath and muscular contractions which stimulate the pelvic floor and deep core muscles.
