Volunteer opportunity! Saturday, March 15 @ 9 a.m. at Poplar Lane Park there will be a large scale trash clean up of approximately 4 acres of floodplain natural area.
At the same time there will be a turf removal and soil preparation of a 400 square foot wildflower garden, which we will use to plant around 250 native plants in May!
Thank you to Village of Peoria Heights for making this possible and Friends of Rocky Glen for helping coordinate!
Don't forget about our coffee and cleanup the following weekend on March 22nd at Peoria Public Library Lincoln branch!
