About this Event
This course provides an in-depth look at passive flood protection systems and how they enhance building safety, performance, and resilience in flood-prone areas. Attendees will explore design principles, regulatory requirements, and real-world applications of passive flood barriers and floodproofing systems that function automatically — without human intervention or power.
Emphasis is placed on protecting life safety, structural integrity, and public welfare through proper design integration and compliance with FEMA and ASCE 24 standards.
