Come join us as we float the Missouri River from Nodaway Island Access down to French Bottom Access. Friday Night will be a required still water training for everyone wanting to partake in the Missouri River on Saturday. Friday Night at 6pm we will be at Belcher Branch Lake boat ramp to learn more about paddling and all of the safety concerns with floating on the Missouri River.This session is Required for all participants.
Saturday morning, we will meet at French Bottom Access in St. Joseph between the casino and the Remington Nature Center at 9am. We will secure all vehicles then shuttle folks up to Nodaway Island Access where the provided canoes, PFDs and paddles will await us. You will need to bring your own water, snacks, lunch, sunscreen, and other personal comfort items. You will get wet and muddy. Dress accordingly. We will schedule our departure from Nodaway Island for 10am. It is a 12-mile float, we anticipate being off the river at French Bottom Access between 3-4pm.
