Float on down to a downtown, riverside hoedown hosted by your home town band - the Flathead Stringband - with their dear friend, Drew Thomas, calling the dances! This isn't one of our regular shows. This event will focus on you, the dancers! We'll mostly dance some contra dances, which is a lot like a square dance. Don't know how to dance? That's fine! We'll teach you. The best part is Drew will literally yell the instructions to you while you dance. It's easy when she is telling you what to do. Don't be shy about attending. We've never had anybody show up to a dance and not have a good time. Don't worry, we won't just jump right into the dancing. We'll give you some demonstrations of the basic moves and let you practice a little but before we all get started. Then we'll add a couple new maneuvers as the night goes on. Normally, we love when you all wander in off of the street all night long, but this is one time where it is helpful to be on time, especially if you don't know how to contra or square dance. Before you know it, you'll be dancing and swinging with all the vigor of some crackling mullet fillets that were just tossed into a skillet of hot grease!
